What the App Does

Romantic Reveal lets couples create interactive scratch-off reveal cards to randomly select date night activities. One partner creates a reveal by choosing activities and an image, then shares it with their partner. The recipient scratches to discover the winning activity.

What We Collect

Romantic Reveal collects minimal information and stores it locally on your device:

Activity selections: Predefined and custom activities you create are stored locally using iOS on-device storage.
Reveal history: Records of reveals you have created or received are stored locally on your device.
Couple password: The shared password you set is stored locally on your device. It is used to encode reveal data and is never transmitted to our servers.
App settings: Your preferences, such as sound effects, are stored locally.

What We Do Not Collect

To be clear, we do not collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, or other personal identifiers
Location data
Device identifiers or tracking data
Any data sent to our servers
Information about your activities, selections, or reveal outcomes
Photos or images from your library
Demographic information
Any data used for advertising, profiling, or behavioral targeting

No Tracking, No Ads, No Accounts

Romantic Reveal does not include advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party data collection SDKs. You do not need to create an account or sign in to use the app.

Image Sharing and Encoded Metadata

Romantic Reveal allows users to create a shareable image that includes encoded metadata describing the selected activities. This metadata is encoded using the couple’s shared password.

Encoding is performed locally on your device.
The encoding is a convenience feature designed to prevent casual access to the reveal content. It is not intended for secure, confidential, or secret communications.
When you choose to share a reveal image (via Messages, AirDrop, email, or other services), you are using standard iOS sharing tools. The developer does not intercept, monitor, or log any shared content.
Any shared content is subject to the privacy policies of the service you use to share it.

Photo Library Access

Romantic Reveal may request access to your photo library so you can select an image for your reveal. This access is requested only with your explicit permission and is used solely for image selection. Selected images are not uploaded, scanned, analysed, or shared by the app.

Data Storage

All app data, including activities, reveal history, passwords, and settings, is stored locally on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you intentionally share a reveal image.

iCloud and Cloud Services

Romantic Reveal does not use iCloud or any other cloud storage service. If you delete the app, the locally stored app data is removed from your device.

Children’s Privacy

Romantic Reveal is designed for adults only and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app contains adult themes and content related to romantic and intimate activities that are not suitable for minors.

Security

Because app data is stored locally and not transmitted to our servers, the security of that information depends mainly on your device security. We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode or other device security measures.

Third-Party Services
